A tour of the region in total freedom!
The Tourist Office in Saint Christophe en Oisans – la Bérarde offers a tour leaving from the Plan du Lac lasting 5 days around Saint Christophe.
At each step, between refuges, gîtes and hotels your hosts will introduce you to their local specialities.
This trip is aimed at established walkers who wish to have maximum freedom whilst discovering this original valley within the Ecrins National Park.

Day one :
- Leaving from : The Plan du Lac (2km before St Christophe) heading to the l’Alpe du Pin refuge.
- Time : 3h30
- Altitude difference : 821 m uphill climb
- Meal and accommodation at the refuge in dormitories.
Local Dauphinois cuisine « Murçon et oreilles d’âne » as a typical exemple.
Day two :
- Leaving from : Leaving from the refuge head for the Vallon de la Mariande with picnic.
Then on to the Refuge de la Lavey via the Gassaudière and the Souchet.
- Time : 5h00
- Altitude difference : 607 m uphill climb
- Meal and accommodation in refuge in dormitories.

Day three :
- Leaving from : Set out from the Refuge of the Lac des Fétoules. Head back down to Champhorent eand Pré Clot.
- Time : 5h00
- Altitude difference : 737 m uphill climb
- Repas typique et nuit au Gîte d’Etape de Pré Clot en dortoir.
Cuisine from Saint Christophe « Saint Christophe stuffed specialities ».
Day four :
- Leaving from : Set out from the Pré Clot in the direction of Plat de la Selle and St Christophe.
- Time : 5h00
- Altitude difference : 1016 m uphill climb
(Variante possible au Clos du Ser moins difficile.)
- Typical meal at the La Cordée or La table du Chritolet restaurant and rooms.
La Cordée : « les Crozets de Marie la Cordée ».
La Table du Chritolet : « Dauphinoise cuisine and herb tourte ».
 
Day five :
- Leaving from : Leaving from St Christophe by Les Prés, le Miroir des Fétoules,orientation tables, Le Puy arriving at the Plan du Lac.
- Time : 5h00
- Altitude difference : 677 m uphill climb
5-day tour with 4 nights, no guides on a full-board basis.
In total: 23h30 on foot with 3858 m uphill climb.

5 days with guide option :
To find out more about the mountains, a guide « accompagnateur en moyenne montagne » can accompany your walk.
- Less than 8 participants : 22 €/day/adult and 15 €/day/child.
- From 8 to 10 participants : 160 €/day for the whole group.
This cost is to be added to the fee of 180 € for the 5-day outing ‘in total freedom’.

Additional information :
Bag collection possible (subject to certain conditions) from Plan du Lac to the Gîte des Arias for Day 3.
Terms of sale :
- Prices do not include drinks or personal expenses.
- Full-board includes breakfast, lunchtime picnic, evening meal and accommodation in dormitories or bedrooms.
- The circuit is completed without guide and the Tourist Office cannot be held responsable for any problems with directions.
- All bookings are firm upon receipt of the deposit of 50% of the total cost. Cheques are to be made out to the Office de Tourisme Ecrins Haut Vénéon..
- For cancellations, notification must be made by mail, the date at which notification is received is the date at which the cancellation will be considered. The deposit will be reimbursed for all cancellations received at the latest 15 days before the departure date.
- Customers must agree to take out personal insurance for the mountain outing on offer. The Tourist Office will on no account be liable to pay costs or accept the consequences of any accident during the activity.
- The Tourist Office, the Gîte de Plan du Lac will not be held liable for any damage or theft to property, goods or vehicles.
- Customers are responsible for judging the capacity of each participant and their children.
